Tyson Mann is actively involved in extra-curricular clubs including FFA, FCCLA, FBLA, 4-H, and Knowledge Bowl, and also participates in Football, Basketball, and Track and Field. Tyson serves as the current FFA President. Tyson plans to continue his education in the engineering field.

The Wendy’s High School Heisman program, awarded in conjunction with the collegiate Heisman, celebrates the achievements of the nation’s top high school seniors both in and out of the classroom. Just as the collegiate Heisman is known for being the top award in college football, the WHSH award is known for being the most prestigious award at the high school level. The award encourages future leadership by recognizing well-balanced lifestyles at an early age.

The Battle of Business Skills at District Conference

February 3, 2009 - Grand Junction - It was a battle of business skills at the Two Rivers Convention Center on Monday. More than 450 high school students competed in the annual Future Business Leaders Of America District Conference. 20 high schools competed in events including interviewing, presentation and emerging business issues. Students say it's not only a fun way to learn business skills for when they graduate, but life skills and confidence.
“I went into high school really shy and quiet and afraid to talk to people. And you know , now I'm just out of my shell and really confident.. And I think it really prepares you for the real world,” said Amy Nelms, FBLA member.
Winners from today's competition will head to the state competition. That event will be in Vail in April.
