Whitney Sorenson of Peetz High School, recently participated in the InvestWrite contest, in addition to the Stock Market Game, in her Accounting II class. The contest required her to write an essay explaining the stock market terms of diversity and risk, as well as her experience participating in the Stock Market Game. She was also required to devise and explain a method of investment for an immediate want and another plan for retirement savings. |

Colorado FBLA assists Loveland High School FBLA Adviser with a Miracle Minute. |

Loveland High School adviser, Allan Baclasky was seriously injured in a recent bicycle accident and Colorado FBLA generously contributed to help him with his multitude of medical expenses through our established Colorado Relief Fund and our Miracle Minute. Chapters held a Miracle Minute in their schools to collect as much change in one minute. Colorado FBLA presented Allan with a check for $2,926.35. |
FBLA-PBL Night with the Denver Nuggets
Night with the Denver Nuggets, March 5, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are $22 with $2 of each ticket donated to the March of Dimes.The Nuggets will be playing the Indiana Pacers.

Colorado hosted a successful National Leadership Convention
Over 1,350 members and advisers attended one of five conferences held during the week of September 28. The leadership team of TRI Leadership Resources started the journey on September 28 at Grand Junction High School, September 29 at NJC-Sterling, September 30 and October 1 at UNC in Greeley, and ended at CSU-Pueblo on October 2. Members attended four different leadership programs of Officer Leadership, Member Leadership, Business Leadership and Senior Management. One of our own past state officers, Sean Robinson, is now part of TRI and Colorado FBLA welcomed his accomplishments in training our members.

Here are some pictures of Liberty Chapter members cleaning and donating at the Aurora Ronald McDonald House. The experience was not only inspirational, but was also a lot of fun. I recommend everyone go and spend two hours cleaning that home, it was truly moving. |
