FBLA-PBL has successful 2008 State Leadership Conferences
Approximately 2,500 attended the 2008 State Leadership Conference in Vail, April 20-22. Vail Transit transported over 23,000 students, advisers, judges, workshop presenters and exhibitors to 5 hotels during the three days to attend leadership workshop opportunities and competitive events. FBLA members participated in a March of Dimes Walk and a dance to collect funds for their statewide community projects, March of Dimes and the Dave Sanders Scholarship Fund. The funds collected at the State Conference will be added to the year round activities and a check for over $11,000 will be given to March of Dimes. Over $1,700 will be added to the Dave Sanders Scholarship Fund. In addition, the FBLA Chapters contributed over $2,000 to help those in need from the fire in Ordway. FBLA members are very generous and their hard work was evident at the State Leadership Conference. Over 200 members will now prepare to attend the National Leadership Conference in Atlanta, June 24-30. Congratulations Colorado FBLA!
